The postal Adventure
is a Board game created by Andreas Seyfarth and Karen Seyfarth in 2006 and published in French by Schmidt Spiele under its name of mark Hans im Glück.
For 2 to 4 players, as from 10 years.
General principle
The principle of the play is to develop a company of postal barouche.
Material
- a plate of play primarily representing the Germany (with also part of the Swiss , Austria and Poland), cut out in various provinces.
- 66 charts cities (3 charts of each city)
- 20 charts barouches (numbered from 3 to 7,4 specimens of each chart)
- 4 charts “head office”, for each color: red, yellow, blue and green.
- 80 houses of wood (20 of each color)
- 30 markers of points no-claims bonus
Installation
For having placed the plate of play in the center of the table, it is necessary to lay out all the markers of points in core no-claims bonus, visible face and by color, with the sites envisaged on the plate of play (in the decreasing order, with highest with the top).Then, it is necessary to mix the charts of cities and to place of them six face visible with the sites envisaged on the plate for this purpose. The remainder being put in heap hidden side on the side.
Lastly, each player takes the 20 houses and the chart “head office” of the color of his choice.
Rules of the game
Beginning of the part
The youngest player begins the part.
Unfolding
A turn of play is held in three phases:- To pick a chart of city. (obligatory)
- To pose a chart of city to increase its road. (obligatory)
- Fermer its road (if this one comprises at least three cities). (optional)
To pick a chart
The player can pick one of the six charts posed visible face or the first chart on the heap of remaining charts (hidden sides).With each time a chart visible face is picked, it is immediately replaced by the first chart of the pickaxe.
To increase its road
To increase his road, the player must add a chart of city which follows directly with the first or the last stage of the road in construction. There should not be junction and the road cannot be modified for the part already posed with the preceding turns.If a player cannot increase his road, fault of concordant chart, the road in the course of construction is lost.
To close its road
If the road in construction comprises at least three cities, the player can decide to close his road.To pose houses
When the player closes his road, it has two choices to pose its houses:
- Is the player poses one (and only one) house in each province crossed by its road.
- Is the player poses a house in all the towns of only one province.
Recupérer a chart of fits with body
When his road is closed, one can recover a chart of fits with body value of the size of the road. I.e. that when a road of size 3 is closed, one can recover fits with body it value 3.
He is obligatory to recover the charts of fits with body in the order. I.e. that to have chart 4, it is necessary as a preliminary to have the 3. Example: a player closes his first road for the part. He can take fits with body it value 3. He cannot take that of value 4, because he does not have the 3 yet.
To recover no-claims bonus
After having posed its houses, the player can possibly recovered points no-claims bonus.
If the player has a house in all the towns of a color (a province or meeting of province), it recovers the no-claims bonus of the color.
If the player closes a road of at least five cities, it recovers (if it remains about it) a no-claims bonus for the longor of its road.
If the player has a house in each province, it recovers the associated no-claims bonus.
Lastly, if the player poses his last house or recovers fits with body it value 7, it is entitled to the no-claims bonus of the player who finishes the first.
To call upon a character
For each turn of play, the player can call upon a help and only one. For that, it has four characters:- the chief of station (allows to pick two charts instead of one).
- the post-office employee (allows to pose two charts instead of one).
- the Baillif (allows to change the six visible charts of the pickaxe by the first six charts of the heap).
- the To notch (a Carrosse of a value of 2 superior to the size of the closed loop allows to take).
To note that when a player does not have any chart of city, it is obliged to call upon the chief of station (what is the case at the beginning of part for example).
End of part and winner
The part finishes when one of the players poses his last house or when that it recovers the Carrosse value 7. At this time there, all the other players play once again, then the part is finished.The winner is that which adds up the greatest number of points (office plurality of all the no-claims bonus minus the number of remaining houses).
