The Sun (Baudelaire)
the Sun is a Poème of Baudelaire published in the section " Tables parisiens" Flowers of the evil .
Situation
It is about the second poem of the section. Baudelaire wrote it in its youth, which explains this optimism which slices on dark Fleurs of the Evil. Succeeding Landscape , it starts the diving in the urban universe, and announces the roles of the poet explored.
Form
The poem is composed of three Strophe S of 8,8 and 4 Alexandrin S respectively. The rhymes are followed.
Study
It is about a poetic art (poetic form which consists in teaching a theory) in which Baudelaire recommends the use of a simple language, of a language of the every day. The language is not then any more that of the poetic words, poetry must be combined with any form commonplace.
Possible influence on the Surrealist ones, with the idea raised in this poem which the writing should not be considered, it becomes automatic.
