The Sallyangie
The Sallyangie is the name of a British duet of Musique folk consisted Sally and Mike Oldfield, credit in 1968 and 1969. Sally Oldfield had then 21 years and Mike Oldfield 15 years.
The duet published one album named Children off the Sun before separating. Sally Oldfield, whose career solo fitted in the same vein folk that The Sallyangie, took part thereafter in several albums of Mike Oldfield as a chorus-singer.
The name of the group is sometimes written Sallyangie (without article) or The SallyAngie . It is formed of the juxtaposition of the first name of Sally Oldfield and the preferred music of Mike Oldfield, traditional the folk of Davey Graham/Bert Jansch Angie .
