The Rose and the Arrow

the Rose and the arrow ( Robin and Marian ) is an American film of adventure carried out in 1976 by Richard Lester.

Synopsis

King Richard accompanied by Robin and his faithful Petit Jean are of return after a score of years of crusades. Wounded with died by an arrow launched by an old man reclu in a besieged castle, the king will die little of times afterwards, leaving off Richard and Petit Jean that Richard had retained captive (Robin of Wood refusing to kill the occupants of the castle to the pretext of recover a stone statue). Robin and Petit Jean decide to turn over to the country, i.e. Nottingham and his forest of Sherwood. They will find their old accomplices as well as the friend of Robin, Marianne all aged and tired. In spite of their lassitude, they will mobilize their forces in order to be opposed to the Sheriff of Nottingham once again. Robin will manage to extirpate Marianne of his prison and, at the conclusion of a combat epic, will face the Sheriff in a mortal duel.
