The Mesnil-the-King
the Mesnil-the-King is a common department of the Yvelines, in the area Île-de-France, in France, located at approximately 8 km to the north of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer.
The name of “Mesnil” comes from the Latin , mansionilis , small field. The name the Mesnil-the-King wanting to say the inhabited field of the king (François 1st). In addition, the revolutionary name of the Mesnil-the-King was “the Mesnil-Careers”.
Geography
The commune of the Mesnil-the-King is located between the Forêt of Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer and the the Seine, on left bank of the Fleuve. It is bordering on Houses-Laffitte in north, the Pecq in the south and Saint-Germain-in-Bush hammer in the west. In the east, the Seine separates it from Montesson. The communal territory also includes part of a island of the Seine, the island of the Commune.In addition to the borough of the Mesnil-the-King, agglomerate in north with Houses-Laffitte, the commune includes/understands in the south a second inhabited center, Career-under-Wood.
The commune is crossed in its southern part by the highway A14, partially underground. This Autoroute crosses the Seine by a Viaduc in Concrete prestressed formed of two parallel works.
