The House of Nina

the House of Nina is a French film carried out by Richard Dembo, left in 2005.

Synopsis

The action of film proceeds between September 1944 and January 1946. In the east of France, Nina what is called holds “ a house of the hope ”, these houses which lodged young Jews, for the majority orphans. The end of the war approaches and one asks him to deal with other young Jews survivors of the camps of death. These children, who saw the worst horrors being held in front of their eyes turn to a more intensive religious practice. Nina must manage and rebuild these broken lives, while protecting the children who passed the war in his orphanage. By telling the training of the hope, how to live again after the catastrophe and the destruction, this film does not speak about last but about the future. It is an anthem with the life and the happiness of living being.

Created in the urgency of the Release, the houses of children accommodated as of 1944 the kids without family, hidden in deep France; then as of June 1945, off-set children, surviving of the concentration camps. Thousands of children, among whom Elie Wiesel, were rebuilt there.
