Summary
Country young person of a score of years, Blue Pomme left for Shanghai with Kang Sheng, fifteen years his elder, which holds near it at the same time the role of father, friend and lover. Well quickly, it includes/understands the capacity that a pretty girl can exert on the men and uses about it without moderation. Collecting the conquests and multiplying lownesses, Blue Pomme quickly acquires a reputation of libertine without scruple. Gradually, the ambition lives it… and does not leave it any more.1938. The Long walk is finished and the Communists are gathered with Yan' year. Via Kang Sheng, of which the intentions are often ambiguous, Blue Pomme is noticed by Mao whose sexual appetite seems without terminal. Is very connected very quickly. Soon, Mao cannot do without any more his new concubine of which the body makes it dream. But the Great helmsman guesses it. He knows that it is ready with all the ignominies, with all treacheries and the tricks to approach then to obtain the capacity, and the impulsive and ingenuous side of the young woman amuses it much. Become the wife of Mao who renamed it Jiang Qing, Blue Pomme gradually manages to draw aside from her husband sometimes his descendants, sometimes his former wife or her allies. Jiang Qing nourishes nothing any more but one desire which turns to obsession: to succeed Mao. But the company is not easy because it is initially important to prevent that Mao does not repudiate it, like it usually does it when it is wearied of a woman. Jiang Qing will have to support all humiliations on behalf of this man who from one day to another appreciates it or hates it, and that she does not like.
The years which pass do not calm proud the " comrade Jiang Qing" who more than ever wants to reach the " trône". But its credulity and its confidence in it plug and make it fall into the traps which are tended to him as Mao ages, including by those of which it is wary less, like Kang Sheng. With died of Mao, in the shade of which she always lived, Jiang Qing is stopped by Hua Guofeng and Deng Xiaoping, its large rivals. The marked capital punishment is then commuted to life imprisonment in spite of the gravity of the crimes and treasons which it made throughout its life. When there does not remain any hope with Jiang Qing, it commits suicide in serenity. Old of soon eighty years, it makes the mourning of its too high ambitions and does not have any more reason to live.
