The Communauté of communes the Chain of Tisserands is a French inter-commune structure , located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.

History

The Community of " communes; The Chain of Tisserands" was creates at January 1st, 2001, on the initiative of the mayors of Fitilieu of then, Mr. Gerard MARTINELLI and of Abrets, Mr. Jean-Paul GAU. It replaces two Intercommunity associations, SIVOM of Abrets (or Sivom of Gua) which gathered the communes of Abrets, Fitilieu and Saint Andre the Gas, and the SIVU of Evrieu Rivoire, with economic vocation which gathers the communes of Bâtie Montgascon and Corbelin. It holds its name of the textile tradition common to all the localities belonging to the CCCT, and in particular developed with the Museum of Tisserand From the Dauphine of Built-Montgascon. The " term; Chaîne" is a word game on the chain of the very close mountains, the chain in the direction of union and the chain which, with the screen, are terms of weaving
