The Balad off Jack and Rose is an American film carried out by Rebecca Miller, left in 2005.
Synopsis
Jack lives on an island isolated in the vestiges from an old given up community, with his/her 16 year old young girl Pink. Since the disappearance of the community Jack raises his/her daughter by protecting it and while cutting it of the influences of the modern world. Its terminal illness and the transformations which had with the adolescence of his/her daughter hustles the two beings and question them on their becoming respective. Rose wants to follow her father on the way of death.
Jack is a man who devoted and adapted his life to the safeguarding of the environment, and he regularly drives out the promoters, such as Marty Rance, who try to invest the island and to build there modern allotments of houses near the old community, place of residence of Jack and Rose.
Jack decides, without informing Rose beforehand of it, to invite her alive Kathleen boyfriend downtown and its two sons Rodney and Thaddius. Rose takes that like a treason, and extremely reacts in manner violence and brutal towards the new occupants.
