Synopsis

Here, the animal with five fingers is the human hand, approximately tallied plane in each box.

The history is that of the execution on the Electric chair of a prisoner. One thus sees for example:

  • the hand of the prisoner with his shackles;
  • the hand of the geôlier holding his keys then attaching the straps of the chair around the wrists of condemned;
  • the hand of the priest attending the execution, holding a Bible and a cross;
  • the hand of the torturer actuating the switch of the chair, etc
