The Alps glaronaises

The the Alps glaronaises are a solid mass Montagne ux located in the central part of the the Alps in Suisse. They are with horse on the cantons of Uri, of the Grisons, Glaris, Saint-Gall, Schwytz and Zoug.

Geography

Situation

The Alps glaronaises are drained by the Reuss in the west, the the Rhine in the south and are bathed by the Lac of Walenstadt, the Lake Zurich, the Lac of Zoug and the Lac of the Four-Cantons in north.

They are surrounded by the the Alps uranaises in the west, the Préalpes appenzelloises in the North-East, the the central Eastern Alps (Rätikon and Chaîne of Plessur) in the east and the the Alps lépontines in the south (beyond the Col of Oberalp).

They include/understand inter alia the solid masses of the Tödi and the Rossberg.

Principal tops

The solid mass includes/understands 49 tops of more than 3000 meters.

Geology

In the prolongation of the the Bernese Alps and uranaises, the southernmost part of the solid mass makes up of crystalline rocks whereas the septentrional part (préalpes) makes up of Calcaire S.
