In the Buddhism Tibetan, a “tertön” is a person who discovers a Terma, or hidden text. Padmasambhava predicted that in future times of the hundreds of tertöns its lesson would expose. Through the centuries of many people were recognized like Tertöns. This practice also allowed these texts to escape religious persecutions.
