Tempus

Tempus is a fictitious god pertaining to the decoration of countryside of the forgotten Royaumes, for the Roleplay Donjons & Dragons.

It is the god of the war, that which encourages the armed forces to fight to regulate their different.

The barbarians call it Tempos.

Dogma

Tempus prohibits the cowardice, offends punishable of dead and learns how with its excessively pious people to give weapons to those which need some, and which the war does not make fear. The war is right because everyone is likely to gain. It is a Darwinien concept. But if Tempus likes the war, it does not take pleasure to observe massacres or free destruction. A war can be to gain easily, by strategy. It authorizes the escape if the combat started and that the victory really appears without hope. The faithful ones of Tempus admire the value and honor their enemies. Even if Tempus encourages to fight, it obliges the warriors to consider the consequences of their acts. He also thinks that the timorous ones and the diplomats make much more damage than most violent of the tyrants, because they do not fight to defend what is expensive to them.

Faithful

Orders

  • Order of the Steel Hook:
This order of elite belongs to the clergy of Tempus, and its members receive the most dangerous missions. The high-priests of Tempus are the leaders. The troops are made up fanatic mercenaries aguerris, knights and crusaders. These different origins do not help the members to have a costume of group. Also the only symbol is a brown scraping-knife, points in top and on the right, from which fall four blood drops. This symbol can be represented on a shield, a helmet, a cape or even a simple pin, thus making it possible to the warriors to discreetly recognize itself.
  • Order of the Broken Blade :

This order of the clergy honors the veterans of war, the casualties and mutilated who cannot fight any more in first line.

Relations with the other gods

Tempus is been useful by Riding the Red, god of the strategy. He is opposed to Garagos which stole a expensive symbol in Tempus, when this last was a popular divinity with the Néthéril. Tempus eliminated from many gods wishing to become warlike gods in the past, and it already overcame Garagos once, but let it live. One can think that Garagos was saved because it represents other aspects, darker, war.

Sunie considers Tempus as an enemy because it destroys beautiful things. Tempus is not concerned with its remarks.

In spite of the fact that the dogma of Tempus is opposed to that of Eldath and that he sees it like pacifist, he asks his faithful not to cause those of the goddess of peace, because a war not leading to peace is useless.
