Mohammad Nadir Shah (born the April 10th 1880 with Dehra Dun, India - died the November 8th 1933 with Kabul) was a Pachtoune Sunnite of the branch of Durani, which reigned on the Afghanistan of the October 17th 1929 with the November 8th 1933.

Biography

Former commander of Amanullah, Nadir Shah was ambassador in France in 1924 and disapproved the rapid modernization of the country undertaken by Amanullah.

Putting an end to the course and bloody fundamentalist interlude of Covered E Saqao, it killed this last after him to have promised the amnesty. In spite of an other promise to return the throne to Amanullah, a Loya Jirga H proclaimed it king in September 1929 and with him the bases of the capacity turned over to the religious leaders and tribal.

Nadir harassed, imprisoned and assassinated the intellectuals Hazaras and made it possible to the nomads pashtoun to gradually occupy all the Hazaradjat.

Its assassination with Kabul on November 8th 1933 by Abdul Khaliq was the last episode of a bloody vendetta .

Its successor was his son Mohammed Zaher Chah.
