Tarcutta
Tarcutta (350 inhabitants) is a village of the Riverina, a province in the south of the News-Wales-of-South in Australia, to 438 km of Sydney.
A way of railroad connecting it to Wagga Wagga was definitively closed in 1987.
The economy of the village is based on the breeding of the Ovin S and the bovines and by the fact of its situation on the main road (the Hume Highway ) connecting Sydney and Melbourne, of lodging for the truck drivers who connect the two cities.
The startup of a deviation before 2012 should decrease the activity of the city, more especially as the trucks often connect the two cities without stopover.
The village shelters a monument with the memory of the drivers killed at the wheel of their trucks.
