Tanker forest fires
The tanker forest fires (CCF) is a Fourgon of fire French. It is regularly with the honor of television when the fires devastate the south of France each year. It is a vehicle of fire of category cross-country intended for firefighting in out-roads mediums.
This motorized vehicle having at least 20 horses per Tonne is able to use all the highway types and to move in ground non made-up.
These main features come as of these capacities of crossing and from the quantity of water out of cistern (of 2 000 liters with 8 000 liters)
There exist three types of CCF:
-
MTC = total Masse charges, that is to say the empty weight of the vehicle + extinguishing agents and equipment + 90kg by crew
----
Crew
The traditional crew of a CCF is composed of four firemen:
-
2 team-members: in addition to the basic training, it followed the formation of fight against forest fires of level 1 (FDF1)
- 1 driver: in addition to the basic training and the FDF1, it has its allowed weight-heavy and followed a formation to the control of level 2 (COD2)
- 1 chief of tackle: in addition to the formation necessary for its rank, it followed the formation of fight against forest fires of level 2 (FDF2).
Like its road counterpart the Van pump-ton (FPT), the CCF has a pump able to aspire (with the use of an igniter) and to drive back; the CCF is thus able to supply its tank in any point of water since this last is accessible to its “air-holes”, or with the use of a hydro-ejector.
Crossing
Here capacities of crossing of the Average and Super CCF:
The whole of the CCF of the French territory at least has these data for crossings, these values are guaranteed by the equipment supplier of the vehicle, this one meets standard NF 1846.
One can see on the drawings opposite that the center of gravity should not leave the footing or the way under penalty of inversion of the vehicle.
Capacitées of crossing of the CCF will depend on the inflation of the tires, the deformation of the frame and also of the use of the devices of the Tout-Terrain vehicle. Here these devices:
- the low speeds
- the differential interlock of limps of transfer
- the differential interlock of the bridge postpones
- the differential interlock of the bridge before
Tactic in operation
The CCF is a vehicle which seldom only intervenes; it is generally integrated in a GIF (Group sets fire to forest fires) made up of
- 3 CCF Moyens or Light
- 1 CCF Super
- 1 VLHR (vehicle of connection out-road, car of command).
In order of combat, the placement is the following (more operating at least operating):
- VLHR
- CCFM 1
- CCFM 2
- CCFM 3
- CCFM 4 or CCFS
When several GIF are joined together, they are accompanied by a vehicle all-utility except road (VTUHR) which is given the responsability to convey the secondary material, the Logistique (clothing of replacement, food,…).
In order of road, the alignment of the vehicles is reversed (at least fast with fastest).
Regulation
The standardization of the CCF makes it possible to standardize them by guaranteeing operation and safety.
The standards regulating the CCF are the following ones:
These standards make it possible to have for example the following function:
-
to have arch of safety anti-crashing (to protect the crew from a CCF which would have been turned over),
- a car external protection fire, using an electric motor-driven pump in addition to the fire-engine (by water spraying on the panes and tires)
- a setting in overpressure of the cabin (to avoid the gas entries)
- the treatment of the panes, for a higher thermal resistance
- the bulk-heading of the cistern with breezes blades
- one announces sound, if the activation of a lance gun with electric drives
- ….
