Tank of Volgograd
The tank of Volgograd (in Russian: Волгоградскоеводохранилище) is an artificial lake formed on the lower course of the the Volga, in 1958 - 1961, by the Barrage of the Hydroelectric station of Volgograd. The tank has a 540 km length and a maximum width of 17 km. Its surface is of 3 117 km ² and its volume of 31,5 km ³. The tank is used for navigation, fishing and the irrigation. It has two ports : Saratov and Kamychine.
