Takfir wal Hijra

Takfir wal Hijra (in Arab تكفيروالهجرة - Anathema and Exil ) is an islamist group extremist founded in Egypt in 1971, having today members in other countries and the mobility of Al-Qaida. The structure of the organization being little known. It seems that several groups used the same name.

History

The movement at summer founded by Moustafa Choukri, an agricultural engineer, starting from his coming out of prison in 1971. It underlined the total rupture with the Moslem company which it described as Kufr (non-believer). The members were consequently to live in alternative communities, or even in caves in high Egypt. People who were marginalized or alienated in modern Egypt joined the group for her direction of the community. Profiting from an uncontested authority inside the group, it autoproclama a kind of Mahdi arranging the marriages and prohibiting the external contacts. What involved complaints of the families whose girls had joined the group.
