Sylvain Luc

Sylvain Luc is a Guitariste of Jazz born has Bayonne in 1965.

It carried out studies of violin, violoncello to the academy of Bayonne while also studying the traditional guitar. He plays very young person in a family formation and quickly acquires an experiment of the scene with his own groups.

He settles in Paris and becomes arranger, type-setter and guide of many artists of variety (Georges Moustaki, Philippe Léotard, Romain Didier, Catherine Lara, Michel Jonasz…) while preserving a foot in the jazz while being the bass player of the trio of Richard Galliano.

It founded in 1999 the formation Southern Trio in company of André Ceccarelli and Jean Marc Jafet.

Since 2006 one regularly finds it in the formation " String quartet" , at the sides of Didier Lockwood, Victor Bailey and Billy Cobham.
