Svetozar Marović
Svetozar Marović (in Cyrillic Serb СветозарМаровић ) (March 31st 1955, Kotor -) is a politician Montenegrin, president of the Serbia-and-Montenegro of the March 7th 2003 with the June 3rd 2006. He was also president of the Council of Ministers of Serbia-and-Montenegro
Marović follows studies of right to the University of Podgorica and in fate lawyer. It is interested then in the policy and takes part in the foundation of the independence party Montenegrin Democratic party of the Socialists of Montenegro , which is only the successor of the Communist party Montenegrin. He becomes member of the Parliament Montenegrin, then part of the federative République of Yugoslavia in 1990. Marović becomes even president of the Parliament with three recoveries. Marović is one of the right-hand men of Milo Djukanović. The March 7th 2003, Marović is elected president of Serbia-and-Montenegro by the Parliament for 4 years. He becomes the first president of the new state. He is also vice-president of the Parliament.
The September 10th 2003, at the time of the homologous visit of sound Croatian Feather-grass Mesić with Belgrade, Marović presents the official excuses of Serbia-and-Montenegro to the Croatia for the atrocities made during the war between secession of Yugoslavia. On its side Mesić presents to him also the official excuses of its country. The position of Marović is particularly important because he is the author of the slogan " A war for the paix" who was used as document in proof with the Serb attack on the Croatian city of Dubrovnik in 1992.
The November 13rd 2003, at the time of a visit in Bosnia-Herzégovine, Marović there too presents the official excuses of Serbia-and-Montenegro for the atrocities made during the war. Bosnia-Herzégovine does not present on its side any excuse. That was largely criticized by the media Bosnian and Serb.
Following the proclamation of independence of the Republic of the Montenegro (the June 3rd 2006) and with the proclamation of sovereignty of the Serb Parliament (the June 5th according to), which ordered the dissolution of the federal official structures, Svetozar Marović has put an end to its functions.
Svetozar Marović is married and has two children.
