Biography

Sven Väth born the October 26th 1964 with Obertshausen, close to Frankfurt. At the 15 years age he already prefers to attend the Discothèque S rather than to study the Ferronnerie.

He starts with to mix in 1982 (in full period “ romantic Néo ”) with the club Dorian Gray of Frankfurt, then in 1984 he becomes DJ resident with the Vogue (also in Frankfurt), he mixes primarily Electro Body Music but also the first titles coming from Chicago. Its international career starts in 1985. This same year it OFF founds the group “ ” with Michael Münzing and Luca Anzilotti (thereafter producing of the group “ Snap ” whose sven will remixera first the maximum individual one). It leaves 1985 to 1989 the titles Bad News (1985), Electrica salsa (baba baba) (1986), Step by step (1987) (these 2 individual being international successes), Aber jetz" (1987), " Everybody shake (1988), " Time operator (1988), Hip hop reggae (1989) and put It latina (1989). It appears in featuring on first individual 16bit group. These albums are under this name of OFF: 1987 “ Organization For Fun ” and Ask Yourself in 1989.

In 1988, it repurchases the Vogue with Michael Münzing and Matthias Martinsohn, the entirely renovated club is baptized Omen , they are also the beginnings of the Acid House. In 1989 (pivotal year for Germany with the reunification), following the second album of OFF, Sven Väth leaves its first producers and founds the group Mosaic with Matthias Hoffmann and Steffen Britzke . They inaugurate the first German wave Trance.

In 1991, it founds with Matthias Hoffmann and Heinz Roth the label S Eye Q and Harthouse , which will make it possible to make known all a new German scene under the name Odysee Off Noises .

In 1992 he collaborates with Ralf Hildenbeutel on several pieces like Barbarella - My Name Is Barbarella , Zyon - No Fate (1996). In 1993 it takes part with Gerald Beraya on Summerbreeze - Summerbreeze .

Exit of its first album under its name “ Year Accident In Paradise ” in 1992. In 1994, the album “ The Robot, The Harlequin And The Ballet Dancer ”, produced with Ralf Hildenbeutel . It leaves Eye Q in 1998 to join Virgin and produced its 4th album, “ Fusion ”, mixture of several styles. The same year the firm club Omen its doors, but its agency of booking, “ Cocoon ”, takes finally its take-off, follow of many evenings, in particular with the Amnesia of Ibiza, without forgetting its appearances with the Love Parade.
