Born about 1020, Sven II Estridsen was the son of the Jarl Ulf and Estrid, the sister of Knut Large the. Its nickname Estridsen comes to him from the name of his/her mother. He became king with dead of Magnus Ier of Norway, king de Norvège and of Denmark, which indicated it to succeed to him in this last State, on which he reigned of 1047 with 1076.

Sven II strengthens the Christianisme in Denmark but will fail in its attempt at conquest of the England. But its death was followed by one long period of internal conflicts.
