Suspension (geomorphology)
See also: Suspension
The suspension is a process of transport of sediment by water or the wind. The particles (of the size of the silt S, even of fine sands) are carried, without redepositing itself, on long distances. In the case of wind transport, the suspension makes following an erosion of materials by deflation. The phenomenon is at the origin of the deposits of Lœss.
