Staten Island Railway
The Staten Island Railway (or SIR) is a metropolitan grid system in the district of Staten Island, with New York. Although being regarded as a traditional network of Railroad, the SIR uses oars of the R44 type, i.e. those used by the Metropolitan Transportation authority (or MTA) of New York. A merger plan between the SIR and the MTA is currently planned in order to give rise to a single network of transport in the subway in the town of New York.
