Stanislas , from his true name Stanislas Barthelemy, was born in 1961 with Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine). Studying in architecture of interior, it is directed towards the cartoon since 1982. It publishes in two fanzines: Electrode then Recto-Back , years 1982 and 1983, within the framework of the AJBD, under the direction of Christian Lary, this one responsible for workshops of cartoons of the Town of Paris (s.t.o.l).

Thereafter, it enters to the Lynx to Hairs .

It is in 1990 that it founds with Jean-Christophe Menu, Lewis Trondheim, David B., Mattt Konture, Patrice Killoffer and Mokeït the publisher of named cartoon Association. It leaves it at the end of 2006.

Stanislas also officiated as illustrator for various reviews like Astrapi . He is then sometimes credited under his true name, Stanislas Barthélémy.
