Standard model

In a particular field of science, a Model regarded as sufficiently coherent and stable, object of a quasi-consensus, is called model standard .

Teaching is generally based on the “standard model”, sometimes without insisting as much as necessary on the fact that it is not a question of an absolute truth, but of a representation which forms the pool of the discipline, which even the scientists hétérodoxes must know, and likely evolution.

The expression is particularly used for:

  1. the standard model of the Physical of the particles;
  2. the standard model of the Cosmology

Simple: Standard Model
