Discussed succession

Sri Ramchandra Babuji is deceased in 1983. Its succession gave place to important quarrels where various groups clashed to seize the power with the head of the Shri RAM Chandra Mission, all that in the name of the spiritual teaching of the Sahaj Marg.

The version of the partisans of Umeshchandra Saxena

According to its partisans, Umeshchandra Saxena would have shown its rival Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari to have tried to poison Babuji at the time of one their voyages in Occident. Always according to them, Babuji had not nominated person to succeed to him. Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari was general secretary of the Mission, but it would have been raised of the whole of its functions to the beginning of the year 1980.

To died of Babuji, the seniors tutors said that the letter brought by Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari was a forgery. On the one hand, it did not mention the name of sound Gourou Lalaji Maharaj; in addition Babuji would have realized one day that it missed 3 letters signed in white and it would have deposited a complaint with the local police station.

There were thus many applicants, much of factions. An work group was formed and S.P. Srivastava was selected as president. It is only in 1994 qu ' Umeshchandra Saxena presented a letter of his/her father to the work group of S.P. Srivastava. Examined by the seniors tutors of Shajahanpur, the letter was accepted. Srivastava then gave up the presidency with Umeshchandra.

Other versions

Everyone did not reject the letter presented by Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari. Even one of its rivals, Sri K.C. Narayana, recognizes its validity and refuses on the contrary the legitimacy of the candidature of Umeshchandra Saxena.

Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari and its partisans preferred to create another structure. They recorded a company with nonlucrative goal in California, always under the name of Shri RAM Chandra Mission. They teach with their way the Sahaj Marg of Babuji and tried to protect it by depositing the marks Shri RAM Chandra MissionĀ® and Sahaj MargĀ®.

Many of other eminent disciples of Babuji chose neither one nor the other of the candidates. They left definitively SRCM and diffuse on their own side what they retained of the teaching of their Gourou.

President of Shri RAM Chandra Mission

Sri Umeshchandra Saxena thus becomes president of the Shri RAM Chandra Mission of Shajahanpur in 1994.

A few years later, one of its followers creates a website " sahajmarg.org" where it publishes side by side the 2 letters of Umeshchandra and Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari. It is the starting point of a legal battle which opposed both Shri RAM Chandra Mission around domain name.

The arbitration returned on domain name was favorable to Umeshchandra on April 4th, 2000. But according to its partisans, Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari would then have engaged one of the largest law firms of the the United States, while threatening to carry the business before the Federal court. Umeshchandra would then have given up its rights to devote itself to its disciples of the ashram of Shajahanpur.

In spring 2006, certain disciples of Babuji in Shajahanpur complained because the partisans of Shri Parthasarathi Rajagopalachari would have invaded and recovered to them ashram.
