The French federation of Rescue and First aid (FFSS)

The National school of Rescue (ENS)

The French federation of Rescue and First aid set up a National school of Rescue (E.N.S.) to guarantee a teaching of quality, in full safety by framing with recognized competences.

In France, the categories of age are:

  • 11/12 years (youngest children);
  • 13/14 years (tiny);
  • 15/16 years (juniors);
  • 17/18 years (juniors);
  • 19/29 years (seniors);
  • 30 years and + (masters).

  • Relais 4 X 50m buoy tubes: The team is composed of 4 swimmers. The first share in 50 m freestyle, the second in 50 m freestyle with palms, the third in 50 m freestyle with buoy tubes. Individual:

  • Race (Sprint): A rescuer runs on distance from 90m on sand.
  • Possibly 2 km race: Race of 2 km on sand.

  • Stroke (Surfing Race)

  • Board Race (Paddle Board)

  • Relay sprint on sand (Beach relay): 4 rescuers take turns on a distance from 4 times 90m while doing a witness (Stick)
