Southern Rhodesia
The Southern Rhodesia was a colony Britannique, without access to the sea, located in the south of the Africa, surrounded by the South Africa, the Botswana, the Zambia and the Mozambique.
The capital was Salisbury and the Official language was the English.
In 1965, Southern Rhodesia car-was proclaimed independent under the name of Rhodesia .
In 1970, it became a republic.
In 1979, it turns over under British control.
In 1980, the country was renamed Zimbabwe .

16th century: The Portuguese discover current the Zimbabwe.
- 1855 : The Chutes Victoria are discovered by David Livingstone
- 1890: Lobengula yields to BSAC Cecil Rhodos of the territories in the Matabeleland.
- September 12th: Foundation of Salisbury by Pionner Column.
- 1895 : Administration by the BSAC of the territory of Zambézie renamed Rhodesia. Administrative division enters the territories of the north of the river Zambezi baptized Rhodesia of north and those to the south, baptized Southern Rhodesia.
- 1896 : Revolt of Ndebeles then of Shonas.

- 1965 : Unilateral declaration of independence of the ex- Southern Rhodesia by the Government of the Face rhodésien directed by Ian Smith.
- 1966 : Beginning of the black Guerilla, divided into two movements, ZAPU (Ndebeles) and ZANU (Shonas)
- 1968: Beginning of the imposition of Sanction S international obligatory against Rhodesia
- 1970: Proclamation of the Republic of Rhodesia
- 1972: Failure of the anglo-rhodésien plan.
- 1973 : closing of the border enters Rhodesia and the Zambia
- 1975: Conference of the Falls Victoria between the government rhodésien and the African nationalist parties gathered in the UANC of Abel Muzorewa.
- 1978 : Internal agreements between government rhodésien and black nationalist movements moderated for the installation of a new assembly and a multiracial government. A civil aircraft of Air Rhodesia is cut down in September by the guerilla.

- February: Second plane of Air Rhodesia shot down by the guerilla.
- April: First multiracial elections gained by the UANC of Muzorewa
- June: Abel Muzorewa becomes Prime Minister for the republic of Zimbabwe-Rhodesia.
- September: beginning of the tripartite negotiations between London, Salisbury and the patriotic face of Robert Mugabe and Joshua Nkomo.
- December 12th: Rehabilitation of Rhodesia to the the United Kingdom.
- December 21st: Agreements of Lancaster House preparing the independence of Zimbabwe.

- February-March: Victoire with the elections of the ZANU of the former chief of Marxist guerilla, Robert Mugabe.
- April 18th 1980: Independence of the Zimbabwe
