Southern Africa

The Southern Africa is consisted of the whole of the territories located at the south of the African Equatorial forest.

One also attaches to it the African islands of the south-west of the Indian Ocean around Madagascar (of the Canal of Mozambique in the islands Maurice and of the Réunion), as well as the African islands of the south-east of the Atlantic Ocean.

Originally occupied by the people Khoïsan then Bantous, this area was the subject of several waves of European Colonisation which left their traces in the drawing of the borders current policies of the area.

Since the Years 1980, the rate of infection of HIV becomes particularly acute in Southern Africa.

Nevertheless, the saving in this area remains relatively robust, especially thanks to the industrial power of the South Africa, mining, the oil extraction of Angola, and a favorable climate for agriculture.
