Sophia Chikirou

Sophia Chikirou is a political woman French, of origin kabyle, member of the Socialist party.

It is member of the national council of the PS since November 2005, spokesperson of Laurent Fabius within the framework of this last campaign to be invested by the socialist militants for the presidential elections of 2007. Candidate with the nomination of the militants of the 21e section of the Socialist party, it announced, on July 11th, 2006, the maintenance of her candidature, in spite of designation by the National office of the Socialist party, of George Pau-Langevin, former president of MRAP on July 11th, 2006. The candidature of George Pau-Langevin having been justified in the name of the representation of the alive West-Indian in metropolis for the National Assembly. Following its candidature and that of Michel Charzat, it was made exclude from the party like Mr. Charzat; in November 2007, it joined the movement of the modern Gauche.

Sophia Chikirou is the author of “My laic France (to finish some with the communautarisms)” published by Martinière.
