Sonata for violin and piano (Debussy)
The Sonata for violin and piano of Claude Debussy made up between 1916 and 1917 and was created on May 5th, 1917 Salle Gaveau with Paris.
Composed whereas Debussy was very sick, it is the last major work of the musician who died less than one year after his creation.
It comprises three movements and its execution lasts nearly fifteen minutes :
- Allegro vivo
- Interlude. Odd and light
- Final. Very animated
