So close! ( Seres queridos ) is a Spanish Comédie of Dominic Harari and Teresa Pelegri left in 2005.

Synopsis

Leni decides one evening of to go to Madrid to introduce his/her new companion, Rafi with his family. The trouble is that the family is Jewish and a little excentric, and that Rafi is Palestinian. The arrival of this " étranger" will disturb the balance of the Dalì family and will generate a series of misunderstandings mild nutters and catastrophes laughing.

This film tackles the israélo-Palestinian problem with humor but smoothness. It is not a question of in no case of a caricature: the comic elements are created by the eccentricity of the characters and the absurdity of the situations:

the large father plugs who handles a rifle charged;
the block of soup frozen which falls by the window;
the hopelessly religious son who tries to teach in hiding-place the Hebrew with his niece…
