Amaury IV of Craon then Tristan Rouault de Boisménard
Silly goose dies in Puybéliard at All Saints' day of 1397, Amaury dies in 1373 and Tristan dies in 1396. With it the elder branch of the first family of Thouars dies out which had the Viscount more than five centuries.

Tristan Rouault de Boisménard (1376 - 1396)
In 1376 Silly goose remarie with Tristan Rouault de Boisménard which becomes thus Viscount of Thouars. He is lord of the Ile de Ré and lord of Marans and lord of Gamaches. It is the son of Andre Ier Rouault de Boisménard and Marie de Montfaucon.
Charles V yields Benon and its dependences to his/her Péronnelle cousin of Thouars and her husband Tristan Rouault, in exchange of the two-thirds of the Comté of Dreux. A letter of Gilbert Hasté (lord of the manor and captain of Benon), declares pursuant to the two letters of Charles V of August 28th and September 1st 1378 to have delivered the aforementioned castle of Benon to Tristan, Viscount of Thouars. Thus enriched, the made couple of many gifts to the church. They build in particular the convent of the Jacobins with Thouars.
