Sialkot

Sialkot (Urdu/Punjabi: the سیالکوٹ) is a city located in the north of the province of the Pendjab at the Pakistan at the feet of the snow-covered peaks of the Cachemire close to the river Chenab. It is with approximately 125 north-western kilomètresau of Lahore and only a few kilometres from Jammu.

It comprises a population of roughly 3.000.000 inhabitants. She is one of the principal industrial centers of the Pakistan, well-known for the manufacture and the export of surgical instruments, musical instruments, articles of sports, leather working, textile and many other products.

A base of the army of Pakistan (Quartering of Sialkot) is located beside the city. The International airport of Sialkot (SIAL) serves the area of Sialkot, Gujranwala and Gujrat. A university of sciences and technology was installed in Sialkot (close to Sambrial) with Swedish collaboration . A medical university was also founded there. A polytechnic institute and a school of male nurses are there already.
