Shooting (hockey)

A shooting with the Hockey indicates an attempt at a player to mark a goal, by striking the metal disc with its stick in direction of the net. There exist five types of shooting to the hockey:

  • the shooting of the wrist ( wrist shot in English): to launch using a sharp blow of wrist allowing to raise the metal disc.

  • the shooting struck ( slapshot in English ): the hardest shooting and most powerful, which is carried out by using all the top of the body, while raising the stick very high with the back of the body then while violently bringing back it forwards.

  • the short struck shooting ( snap shot in English): shooting which combines the speed of execution of the shooting of the wrists and the power of the struck throw.
  • the shooting raised

  • the shooting of the reverse ( backhand shot in English): shooting carried out starting from the reverse of the stick.
