Seydou Keïta (1921, Bamako, French and current Sudan Mali - November 22nd 2001, Paris) was a Photographe Malian.
Career
Specialist in the Portrait, it used a camera large size. Beginning the Photography in 1949, it installs in its court a studio. Of 1962 with 1977, he is photographer with the National security.
It exposed to the International meetings of the photography of Arles in 1994, to the Fondation Cartier with Paris in 1994 and to the Guggenheim Museum with New York in 1996.
A prize “Seydou Keïta” is awarded at the time of the African Rencontres of photography to Bamako.
