Severe Dumoulin

Wire of Pierre-Benjamin Dumoulin, the lawyer Sévère Dumoulin was born with Three-Rivers (Quebec, Canada), on February 4th, 1829. He was allowed with the bar of Low-Canada on May 3rd, 1852.

He was director of the Three Rivers Gas Company, managing branch of the Banque of High-Canada to Three-Rivers and president of the Three Rivers Building Society. He was elected twice barristers president of the district of Three-Rivers and president of the Société Saint-Jean-Baptist and the school commission.

He was alderman of Three-Rivers of 1857 to 1861, then in 1864 and 1865. Mayor of Three-Rivers from June 7th, 1865 to July 15th, 1869 and from July 14th, 1879 to July 15th, 1885.

Appointed elected official of the district of Three-Rivers to the Parliament of Quebec in 1868 and 1881. It was appointed sheriff of the district of Three-Rivers. It is deceased with Three-Rivers, on May 17th, 1910.
