Sergei Monya

Sergei Monya (born the April 15th 1983 with Saratov, Russia, the USSR) is a player of Russian Basket-ball.

It chose with the first tower of the Draft NBA 2004 with the 23e row by the Portland Trail Blazers. Winger of 2m04, Monya briefly played for the Blazers before being sent to the Sacramento Kings during the season 2005-06 playing 26 matches for an average of 3 points, in 13 minutes of play.

The February 23rd 2006, Monya and the pivot of the Seattle SuperSonics Vitaly Potapenko are transferred to Kings against the strong winger Brian Skinner, which landed with the Blazers in a triangular exchange. Monya took part only in three meetings with Kings and was released the July 28th 2006 to play in Europe with MBK Dynamo Moscow.

Monya is member of the Russian national team, champion of Europe 2007.
