  • Namibia: The activities of the separatist party democratic Sole party which asserts the independence of the area of Caprivi (northern) were prohibited by the authorities.

September 6th

  • Burundi: the Vice-présidente Alice Nzomukunda resigned to denounce the violations of the human rights and corruption.

September 7th

  • Egypt: The journalist Simon Malley, founder of the Africasia review become Africa Asia is deceased with Paris at the 83 years age.

September 11th

  • Cameroun: a new airline company, Cameroon Airlines Corporation was created by order in Council.

  • Morocco: Fouad Chraïbi, president of the Moroccan Observatory of tourism announced the establishment of a Moroccan Committee of tourism person in charge charged to establish a charter and a label “tourism responsible” in order to fight against the Sex tourism whose many Moroccan children are victims.

September 12th

  • Ivory Coast: Denis Sassou Nguesso, President-in-Office of the African Union left Abidjan by recognizing the failure of its attempt at mediation in the crisis of the Ivory Coast. Since September 10th, it had met the political main leaders of the Ivory Coast.

  • Nigeria: A three days strike movement launched by the trade unions in order to protest against the insecurity in the area of the Delta of Niger was followed by thousands of workers of the oil sector.

  • Ivory Coast: A new government was named following the resignation of the preceding government. The ministers leaving the environment and transport, Jacques Andoh and Anaki Kobina were replaced by Haiza Aka Daniel and Aziz Thiam. The other ministers find their station.

September 24th

  • Senegal: the former Prime Minister Idrissa Seck announced the creation of a political party baptized Rewmi, which means the Country in wolof.

September 28th

  • Zambia: presidential election gained by the outgoing president Levy Mwanawasa with 42,99% of the voices in front of Michael Sata, candidate of the patriotic Face, which obtains 30%.

September 30th

  • Nigeria: Torrential rains involved the collapse of a stopping close to the town of Gusau (State de Zamfara) making at least 40 died, thousands of moved homeless people and 700.
