Section of Good-Council
The Section of Good-Council étaitt represented with the Common of Paris by:
- Jean-Baptiste Bergot (17. - 1794), guillotine the 11 Thermidor year (July 29th 1794),
- Antoine Jemptel (1740 -1794), guillotine on Thermidor 11 year (July 29th, 1794),
- Jean-François Lechenard (1757-1794), sworn with the court of August 17th, 1792, street Montorgueil, guillotine on Thermidor 11 year (July 29th, 1794).
This section had initially taken the name of the old district of Mauconseil. Finding in August 1792, it malsonnant, it replaces it by that of Good-Council.
Territory: In the north of the central Markets, the streets Montorgueil and Tiquetonne.
Population: 13.800 inhabitants, including 1860 workmen and 650 lower-income group.
This section supported the Convention except three of its representatives: Antoine Jemptel, Jean-François Lechenard and Jean-Baptiste Bergot which supported the Commune of Paris on Thermidor 9 year (July 27th, 1794). They were all three guillotines.
Nicolas Lulier
Nicolas Lulier . (17. - 1…) is a business man. Member of the Section of Good-Council.In 1788 it had opened a business consultancy, specialized in offense of swindles and blackmail. Certain days it was placed at the disposal of the poor citizens to give councils gratuitements. Other remaining days - and even extremely expensive did not make of it less flow the having middle-class men and the noble affluent ones complaining about threats of the servants or Masters congédiés, flights of an indelicate intendant or collecting for a relative rascal of a heritage that in good or bad faith they estimated to have to return to them.
During the Revolution, it took care of the defense of the interests of the emigrants. In 1792, it was named police chief with the Commune of Paris.
