Second Mérinide eclipse

This period was marked by the instability of the dynasty mérinide. The viziers on several occasions tried to impose a sovereign marionette. In same time the empire is divided between two capitals Marrakech and Fès.

  • Muhammad sits `îd is presented like heir to its father Abû Fâris `Abd Al `Azîz to the 5 years age, in 1372. It did not reign. he died in 1373.

  • Abû Al `Abbâs supported by Mohammed V Al-Ghanî sultan nasride of Grenade took the succession in 1374.   • Abû Zayd `rear-Rahman Abd ensured was born with an unknown date. During the reign of Abû Al `Abbâsl in Fès it reigned on Marrakech of 1384 to 1387.
  • Abû Al `Abbâs arrived, in 1387, to begin again to be able it with the viziers. Morocco knew six years of peace again although Abû Al `Abbâs benefitted from this period to reconquer Tlemcen and Algiers. The disorders which followed its sudden death to Taza (1393) made it possible to the Christian sovereigns to carry the war to the Morocco.
