The season 1955 - 56 was the 37e season of the championship of France of Hockey (called Ligue Magnus today).

Assessment

The Club of the Lyons skaters is champion of France. Second title for a Lyons club, after 49 years and that obtained by the Sporting Club of Lyon in 1907.
