She seeks to recover Nathan, which spent the summer to High Flyers, but this last does not rely any more on her. It however pays Chris so that it returns in Tree Hill and so that it helps Halley to compose again. But Chris once again will make devastations while sleeping with Brooke, thus destroying its relation with Lucas. Despite everything, Nathan and Halley fall down in love, just like Lucas and Brooke, and Chris leaves Tree Hill for good. Peyton learns how to know Ellie, his/her biological mother, and together they prepare an album whose benefit will go to research against the cancer whose Ellie is reached. Unfortunately, she dies before the album is finished.

All return to the college as last year secondary school students and the drives of tennis shoe begin again. Whitey learns with its players that it is its last season, that they lose or that they gain. Lucas hides in Whitey and Karen its disorder cardiac, in spite of the serious impact which it has on its performances. DaN survives the case of arson and learns that it is thanks to Lucas. It is presented to the municipal elections. Karen is presented against him but it is daN which gains them. Keith returns in Tree Hill and starts a new relation with Karen, which leads to engagement. DaN is persuaded that it is him which wanted to kill it and it thinks of its revenge. Debbie leaves Tree Hill when Lucas teaches him that it knows that it is it which wanted to kill daN.

A new pupil, Rachel Gattina, try to be put between Lucas and Brooke. Micro tomb in love with it but this one breaks the heart to him while leaving with the uncle de Nathan, Cooper, with which it hiding place that it is minor. Rachel subtilizes the vidéos containing the recorded secret confessions the previous year by the pupils and diffuses them in all the school without suspecting the repercussions: Jimmy Edwards, the best friend of Lucas and Microphone, disparages the school and its students there. Not supporting humiliation, it cracks and takes as an hostage a group of students, among whom Peyton, Rachel, Lucas and Micro. Peyton is touched by a ball and embraces Lucas thinking that it will die. Keith tries to speak in Jimmy, but this one commits suicide. DaN arrives on the spot and, always persuaded that it is Keith which tried to kill it, kills his/her brother of coolness.

The death of Keith changes much thing: Nathan and Halley live again together, Peyton has a short history with Pete of the Fall Out Boy group before joining Jake with Savannah, Lucas acknowledges with his/her mother her cardiac problems and that it cannot play tennis shoe any more, daN starts to have visions of him and its brother children. Peyton requires Jake in marriage but this one discovers that it still has feelings for Lucas.

In the final episode of the season, Debbie returns in Tree Hill and acknowledges with daN that it is it which wanted to eliminate it. DaN regrets its gesture the more so as Karen teaches him that it is pregnant of Keith. DaN promises to be there for it and the baby. Brooke cuts the bridges with Peyton definitively when she learns that this one embraced Lucas during the taking of hostage. Nathan and Halley renew their wishes in front of all their friends. Rachel is so sad of its separation with Cooper that it drunk and makes a long discourse on the fact that Cooper slept with it by knowing that it was 17 years old. Then she flees aboard limousine which must take along Nathan and Halley to the airport. Cooper climbs in the limousine right in time. Whereas Lucas and Karen leave the reception, Lucas finds a test of pregnancy in the bag of his/her mother. He asks to him whether she is pregnant and Karen says to him that yes, but that it is not its bag. In the car whose Cooper took again control and brings back Rachel to the festival, this one asks to him whether it can do anything to keep it, but he answers that not. Rachel announces to him whereas it has something of important to acknowledge to him then, indicator which he still does not stop, the wheel catches then. Cooper succeeds in avoiding accuracy a collision with the car of Halley and Nathan but the limousine falls from a bridge and is inserted in water.
