Scapula
The scapula , usually called scapula , is a flat bone of triangular form located at the posterior part of the Thorax. It is articulated with before with the thorax and outwards with the Humérus and the Clavicule. The scapula is composed of the spine scapular, the acromion, the cavity glénoïdale, the tubers supraglénoïdal and infraglénoïdal, the incisure scapular and the process coracoïde. With the Clavicle, it forms the belt scapular.
At the man
The cavity glénoïdale is articulated with the head of the Humérus. The tubers supraglénoïdal and infraglénoïdal connect the scapula to the muscles Biceps and Triceps brachiaux by the tendons of the long chiefs in the order given.
The incisure scapular allows the passage of the nerve suprascapulaire. It is identified like a foramen thanks to the higher transverse ligament closing it.
The process coracoïde gives origin to the Biceps brachial in its médiale part by the short chief and to the coraco-brachial.
The bone scapular or scapula or scapula is a Os flat, broad, thin and triangular located at the posterior part of the shoulder and constituting with the Clavicule the belt scapular.
This bone is articulated with the Clavicule via the articular surface of the acromion, and with the Os humérus on the level of the glene humérale which carries articular surface.
The scapula slips on the large Muscle notched but does not articulate itself with the rib cage.
Faces
Former
The pit under scapular accommodates the insertion of the Muscle subscapulaire
-
Acromion vertebral
Posterior
The posterior face of the scapula is divided into two pits by the spine of the scapula: the pits supra and will infra thorny where the muscles fit respectively supra and will infra scapulars. The spine of the scapula ends in the acromion which has an articular surface with the clavicle for the articulation acromio claviculaire.
Edges
Side
Fleshy where fits the large Muscle round and small Muscle round. This side edge (or axillaire) is massive: it is commonly called the pillar of the scapula .
Superior
The higher edge is short. It is separated from the apophysis coracoïde by the incisure scapular. On the edges of this incisure the transverse ligament of the scapula fits; it delivers also passage to the nerve and the artery supra-scapulars.
