The San Jose Earthquakes is a club frankness from Football based with San Jose, California. It was active of 1996 with 2005 and has again integrates MLS in 2008.

History

  • 1995 : foundation of the frankness with San Jose (California) under the name of San Jose Clash

  • 1999: the frankness is famous San Jose Earthquakes , in homage to a preceding team of late NASL.
  • 2005 : December 15th is announced the removal of the club with Houston, Texas. The cause being a problem of stage. However, it is possible that San Jose finds a professional team in the next years.
  • 2006 : the new team is called Houston Dynamo.
  • May 2006: Lew Wolf and John Fisher, owners of the club of baseball of the Oakland Athletics (MLB), obtain an option from the MLS. Their objective being to recreate a football club with San Jose, from here the three next years. They would have then to build a new stage.
  • July 2007: MLS announces the return of San Jose for the season 2008 and the construction of a new stage. However this one should be ready only as from 2010. The club will thus play the two next seasons apart from San Jose. They will play the McAfee Coliseum of Oakland for the important matches and Buck Shaw Stadium of Santa Clara for the other meetings.
