Samad Khan Momtaz bone-Saltaneh , also named Momtaz ol Saltaneh (1869 - 1955) was an Iranian diplomat of the era Qajar and Pahlavi.

Wire of Ali-Akbar Mokrem bone-Saltaneh, brother of Esmail Momtaz od-Dowleh, and Momtaz Homayoun, Samad Khan Momtaz bone-Saltaneh is born in 1869 with Tabriz (Iran), in an Azerbaijani family. He marries in first weddings an Iranian woman - one of her sons (Abdollah) will be diplomat in Iran -, then in second weddings, a Frenchwoman of which he has two girls; one of them marries a lawyer, the other, a magistrate. He dies in 1955 in Paris and he is buried with the Cimetière of the Father-Lachaise. Samad Khan was high with the rank of Prince by Ahmad Shah, with the title of Highness, in March 1921. It was Grand officer of the Legion of honneur, .

Career

Mirza Samad Khan Momtaz bone-Saltaneh is secretary of legation in Paris in 1883. It is to advise of embassy with Saint-Pétersbourg. It takes part in the voyages of Nasser ED-DIN Shah, then of Mozaffar ED-DIN Shah in Europe. He is minister of Persia in Belgium and Holland before being appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ministre in Paris in April 1905. He remains at this station until March 1926. He does not turn over to Iran and chooses food in Paris. He is recognized by the French government in the capacity as advising embassy from Iran to Paris from March 5th, 1946 to September 27th, 1951.
