Sam Brownback

Samuel Dale Brownback (born the September 12th 1956) is a American Politician , member of the Republican party and senator of the Kansas to the Congrès of the United States since the November 7th 1996.

Candidate with the republican candidature for the presidential election of 2008, it announces his withdrawal the October 19th 2007, for lack of sufficient financing.

Biography

Brownback was born and grew in Kansas.

It is graduate in right of the university of Kansas in 1982.

Teacher then attorney, it is of 1986 with 1993 the secretary with the agriculture of Kansas.

Of 1994 with 1996, it is one of the elected officials of Kansas to the Chambre of the Representatives of the United States.

In November 1996, he is elected with the Sénat of the United States to finish the mandate of the senator of Kansas, Robert Dole, resigner, republican candidate with the presidential election and of which the seat with the senate, since June, was temporarily occupied by Sheila Frahm, by nomination of the governor of Kansas. It enters according to the November 7th 1996.

In 1998, Brownback is elected for 6 years a complete mandate.

In 2004, it is re-elected with 69% of the voices against its democratic adversary , Lee Jones.

Brownback is married and father of five children of which two were adopted.

Philosophy
