Salvor Hardin
Salvor Hardin is a character of the Cycle of Foundation, imagined by Isaac Asimov.
Salvor Hardin was born in year 18 from the Foundation on the planet Terminus, the cradle of the Foundation.
In year 50 of the Foundation whereas he is mayor of Terminus, he reverses, without violence, the council of the encyclopedists thus opening the way at the era of the Mayors. In order to remotely hold the Four Kingdoms, whose Anacréon, which threatens the existence of the Foundation, it provides them a technological help: nuclear energy.
Salvor Hardin is well-known inhabitants of Terminus and members of the Foundation to have known to maintain the independence of planet against the Four Kingdoms and also for its maxims of which most famous remainder " Violence is the last refuge of the incompétence".
