Saint-Pierre - of Irube is a common French, located in the department of the Yrénées-Atlantiques and the area Aquitaine.

Located in the province of the Labourd, St Pierre d' Irube \ Hiriburu belongs to the Basque Country.

Its Basque name Hiriburu means “(with) end of the city”, which corresponds perfectly to its situation. But it is about a popular interpretation starting from old a *Iru (N) berri ( Yruber in 1170) which means “new field”.

The name of inhabitant is Saint-Pierrot , hiriburutar , originally irubertar out of Basque.
